The mission of Jerusalem Lutheran Church is to be a “Beacon on the Hill” and a light in our community, offering hope to all peoples, spreading and sharing in the good news of Jesus Christ and the promise of his love through fellowship, worship, service and devotion. We are called to be a blessing.” You are blessed so that you may be a blessing.” (Genesis 12:2)

Everyone is encouraged to read scripture daily to grow in their faith journey. Worship Begins at 10:15 a.m. on Sundays
We gather to worship the crucified and risen Lord. We do this by hearing God’s word proclaimed through the reading of our scriptures and the proclamation of the word. We also do this by celebrating the sacraments – Baptism and Holy Communion.
We believe that in Baptism, the individual is clothed with Christ, our original sin is removed, and we brought into church as members of Christ’s kingdom.
In Holy Communion, we are given the necessary tools to continue to live as a baptize Child of God. We believe that Jesus is truly present (in, through, and under) the elements. Communion is a meal where God’s grace is shown to us in the simplest way: no matter who we are, where we come from, or what we do, whenever we put our hands and open our mouths, they will be filled.
We worship using the rubrics from the Evangelical Lutheran Worship. Our worship practices are ancient reminding us that worship is a past, present, and future experience. When we gather to worship, we also gather with a great cloud of witnesses as well – with the saints who have gone before us and with the saints still yet to come.
At JLC, we sing hymns that are both old and new. We are led in our singing through the use of piano, organ, electronic keyboard, guitar, saxophone, and other instruments. As a special treat, we have featured solos performed throughout the year.
Our worship is a major part of who we are and we hope you will join us to celebrate our crucified and risen Savior, Jesus the Christ. Please join us for our Sunday services!
